All bristles are set in the pnuematic rubber cushion invented by MP in 1885, which allows the bristles to follow the hair and conform to the shape of the head.

 

The "Pocket" is miniature sized; more than an inch shorter than the other MP brush sizes and narrower at only 2 inches wide with 10 rings of bristles. However, this makes the "Pocket" the best MP brush for travel, and for brushing children's hair.
