Unlike smaller traveling chess sets, this and other large sets choose not to sacrifice playing comfort for stability and portability. At around the size of a laptop but much lighter, this is a great set if chess and travel are both a priority.

 

 

It folds up small enought to fit in a small tote bag or backpack, and all pieces store inside for portability, but the pieces are just shy of tournament sized, and are big and comfortable to grab, move & identify. Pieces aren't weighted, but it's not needed as magnets give every piece a satisfying "thunk" when placing, as well as making sure placement isn't lost due to turbulence or careless jostles.
