A genuine FOX knives sliding cigar cutter, made in Maniago, the Italian city of blades.

A specially engineered sliding cutting mechanism draws the blade across the cap of the cigar, instead of pressing the blades into the cigar. This improvement to the classic cutter keeps the cigar intact by lowering the chances the chances the cigar deforms and cracks the wrapper.

All FOX fixed and folding knives come with a 1 year warranty against manufacturer's defects.

    BASIC MAINTENANCE TIPS:

Each FOX knives product undergoes careful analysis and strict controls that guar- antee quality. Proper care of your FOX knives product will assure satisfaction for many years to come.

Despite the high quality of our knives, please remember that no stainless steel knife is 100% rust resistant, so we suggest following some basic maintenance tips that will allow for a long lasting knife.

The knife should be kept dry and clean. If the knife comes into contact with salt water, or with any unknown substance, you should immediately rinse it with fresh water, dry and lubricate it with synthetic oils.

To properly maintain folding knives, keep the opening mechanism and pivot clean. Lubricate any moving parts regularly and dry excess lubricant by repeatedly opening and closing the knife.

We recommend you clean and maintain your knife without disassembling it, as this could affect the operation of the knife. A sharp blade makes cutting easier and safer. FOX knives come professionally sharpened, but will periodically need to be resharpened using high quality sharpening stones and/or sharpening rods for steel knives. To sharpen, move the blade back and forth over the sharpening stones/rods at an angle between 10-20°, starting from the base towards the tip of the knife. These steps must be repeated on the other side of the blade, remembering to always try to hold it at the proper angle which should not be too flat, or too inclined against the stone or sharpening rod. If you use other tools to sharpen the blade, please refer to the instructions of the manufacturer.

Do not use the knife as a can opener, chisel, screwdriver, or for any other job for which the knife was not designed.

Do not use the back and the front as a hammer as it may cause the handle and connecting pieces to break.

Some blades have surface coatings to increase the capacity of rust resistance. Despite these rust resistant coatings. they tend to wear out over time with repeated use of the knife.
